Description: Ballarat Pony Club run a very enjoyable and friendly event. The grounds are in the heart of Ballarat and on Saturday night, there are a number of pubs and places to eat within walking distance. Although the size of land available for the cross country is not large, they make good use of the area available and there is even one long stretch suitable for a gallop.

With food available all weekend, an impressive set of new plastic show jumps and sand arenas, there is a lot to like about this event.

2011 Saw the first 2 star competition run at Ballarat, as well as the opening of the new water complex

Ballarat Horse Trials is an EV Interschools Qualifier.

Getting there: The grounds are located on the corner of Winter St & Cedar Drive, Victoria Park, Ballarat.

Facilities: There are limited yards available at the pony club grounds, there are hundreds of yards available at the nearby Polo fields.

Tips: Bring plenty of warm clothes.
