Description : Yeringberg is another event held in the beautiful Yarra Valley and those camping overnight are often treated to the sight of hot air balloons in the early morning. A picturesque property just off the Maroondah highway, Yeringberg has a newly built course for the 2008 Pony Club State championships. |
||
| Getting there : From Melbourne, via Lilydale, follow the Maroondah hwy through Yarra Glen to Maddens Lane which is on the right. A steep climb commences this gravel lane but it improves quickly. Yeringberg is on the right opposite Spring lane about 1 km along Maddens lane. | ||
Facilities : Camping at Yeringberg is allowed and there are toilets. You will have to do without a shower though. There is plenty of shade. |

Courses “A delightfully scenic venue with an attractive and interesting cross country course. Designed and built by Ewan Kellet – he has incorporated some imaginative fence types (twisted tables) and some very good technical questions involving thinking from the rider to produce accuracy, obedience and power from the horse. The terrain has a medium hill to gallop up and the committee does a great job of scarifying the track to present the best going they can for the horses. Certainly a track I would enjoy competing on with my horses.” Sonja Johnson.
