Aussie horses sold overseas
With London ahead, the decks have been shuffled to ensure
that riders have some of the best horses available to them
for the big event.
Here are a few that have been changing hands in 2011:
Lucinda Fredericks' Latina 43 who finished 7th at the
8/9 year old CIC*** class at Blenheim, 16th at Boekelo at
their first attempt at CCI*** and was on the EA National
Futures Squad, has been sold to the Japanese eventing team
10 year old showjumping mare, Ciske van Overis,
originally competed by British rider Guy Williams before
Edwina Tops-Alexander took over in 2010, is now with Rodrigo
Pessoa
Stuart Tinney’s WEG 2010 mount Vettori and 3 Star
horse Watermark Grayson sold to Italy
Heath Ryan’s 3 Star eventer Mystery Whisper sold to
clients of ex-Aussie Phillip Dutton, who will ride the horse
in the US eventing team trials for London
Shane Rose’s talented thoroughbred Il Vici who
recently started his 3 Star eventing career with great
success has also been sold to the US
