Description : A great start to the eventing season at Werribee park. Running the event here means a comfortable start to the season as the facilities, yards, showers, toilets and food are all well established. |
| Getting there : From Melbourne take the Princes freeway towards Geelong and take the C108 exit towards Werribee Sth. Dog leg (short right and left turns) at the t-intersection and Werribee park is on the right about 2 km down. Don't turn too early into the Werribee mansion and zoo. | ||
Facilities : Camping at Werribee is easy with plenty of yards, shade, toilets, showers and food vans. Yards are free including some in the shade. Putting up your own solid yards is also allowed. There are two 4 horse wash bays. The show jumping is usually held in one of the two indoor arenas. Dressage is sometimes on the grass for lower classes although much of the dressage is held on one of the 5 sand arenas. |

Tips : |

Courses All courses are built to be early season standard although there are always some challenging fences with options. The course is usually built by Ewan Kellet and so are solid, encouraging and well designed. |

Warm up areas: The dressage warm up for those on the sand arenas may be out the back on the jumping arenas while the warm up for those competing on the grass arenas is in the area in front of these arenas and there is always plenty of room. Show jumping warm ups are in the second indoor arena and this can get crowded. |
Helping: Friends of Werribee are always looking for new committee members and volunteers; if you live in the area and can help out before the day or at the event itself; contact: the number in the handbook |
